What About Halloween? & Why New Life Does not Celebrate it. 
In order to understand Halloween, it is important to understand the history of this fall holiday. Halloween, which directly stems from Irish, Scottish, Welsh and British folk customs, was celebrated as the Druids' autumn festival. The Druids were an order of priests who worshiped nature. | Why New Life Mansion Of God - Does Not Celebrate Halloween? Spiritually, as parents, we spend to many blessed hours focusing on eradicating Satan and his demonic worker during the year. Therefore, why should one agree to allow years of faithful character building be demolished by Halloween [one day]. When you choose to celebrate Halloween, you agree to reconfigure your faith by agreeing with Satan to denounce your faithful work as a failure. As Christians, we should not celebrate Halloween, rather we should recognize October 31 as the day the Lord has made - a day we can rejoice in (Psalm 118:24). And we don't need to be fearful, for God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
As Parents we have a responsibility to children faith in God. Children can have just as much fun on a Halloween centered around the Word of God and family fellowship. Make a commitment today to give your children the Word of God instead of the fairy tales the world offers - it will help them grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Before the criminals could get away, law officers were on the scene to redeem the evidence that lead to their arrest. What a tragedy for the McCoy family to experience, such great lost. However, what a blessing to know that K. McCoy knew the Lord, and he knew how to pray. One would have to believe that he prayed for someone find out the truth to avenge the cause of his death. Now in agreement, with Kelsey’s love for his family; we stand in prayer with the order of God, to perform His Love upon the family, to cease the issue of grieving and that the family know total justice through the truth of God. JACKSON COUNTY -- Latimer is a tight community where people pay attention and word spreads fast when something's out of line. On Wednesday that paid off for law enforcement.
A witness driving past a dirt path off Larue Road saw something that made him suspicious. When he heard gunshots, he called the Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived within four minutes to find a scene like something off the crime show "CSI: New York" - one man beaten, with his hands tied behind his back and shot to death in the back of a partially burned SUV and another man about 200 yards away, shot in the back and near death.
It turns out the witness was paying close attention; he knew a second car was involved, and when the car returned to the scene he was able to identify it for deputy Tyrone Nelson, who stopped it at gunpoint and ordered the driver out. (read entire story) |
